Recent Progress in the Production of Cyanide-Converting Nitrilases—Comparison with Nitrile-Hydrolyzing Enzymes

چکیده

Nitrilases have a high potential for application in organic chemistry, environmental technology, and analytics. However, their industrial uses require that they are produced highly active robust forms at reasonable cost. Some syntheses catalyzed by nitrilases already reached level of technological readiness. This has been enabled the large-scale production recombinant catalysts. Despite some promising small-scale methods being proposed, cyanide-converting (cyanide hydratase cyanide dihydratase) is lagging this regard. review focuses on prospects cyanide(di)hydratase-based The current knowledge these enzymes summarized discussed terms origin distribution sequences, gene expression, structure, assays, purification, immobilization, uses. Progresses other nitrilase catalysts also tackled, as it may inspire development preparation processes cyanide(di)hydratases.
